The Clinton Herald Monday November 10, 1986 p. 12 Jerome A. Schrum, 76, of 417 13th Ave.N., died Saturday in his home. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Paul Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Michael Last officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Clinton Chapel, Snell-Zornig Funeral Home. Burial will be in Clinton Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Val Feddersen, Dale Crockett, Roy Felderman, Paul Paulson, Wayne Williams and Gerhardt Jensen. Mr. Schrum was born March 10, 1910, in Charlotte, to William and Agnes Matthiesen Schrum. He married Christina E. Nielson, Nov. 26, 1947, in Clinton. He attended the Clinton County schools, and was employed for 35 years as the city salesman for Swift & Co., Clinton, retiring in 1974. Mr. Schrum was a lifelong resident of this area and a veteran of World War II in United States Army serving in the Pacific Theater. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, a former church council member, and longtime usher at church; and a member of American Legion Post 190. Survivors include his wife; two sisters, Dorothea Schrum and Dr. Marion Schrum, both of Reno, Nev.; and a brother, Marvin E. of Forsythe, Mo. He was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
