The Clinton Herald Dorothea K. Schrum, 90, of Prescott and formerly of the Clinton County died Wednesday. Graveside services will be noon Wednesday at Center Grove Cemetery in Elvira. The Rev. Frederick Lubs will be officiating. There will be no visitation. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig-Dennis A. Lemke Funeral Homes and Crematory is in charge of arrangements. She was born on Aug. 5, 1911, in Elvira to William and Agnes Matthiesen Schrum. She was educated in the Clinton County schools. She was a secretary with the Savanna Ordnance Depot in Savanna, Ill., the Pentagon, the United States Chamber of Commerce and the United States Department of State. During her years at the State Department, she was assigned to three foreign service offices in Geneva, Switzerland; Sao Paolo, Brazil; and Jakarta, Indonesia. She retired from the State Department in 1979. She was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Prescott. Survivors include her sister, Marion of Prescott; and two nephews and one niece. He was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, and three brothers. Death Date: May 8, 2002.
