The Clinton Herald Wednesday May 8, 1957 p. 15 Henry Schrum, 60, R.R. 2 Clinton, died in the Veterans hospital in Iowa City at 12:25 a.m. today. The body body is at the Pape funeral home, where friends may call after 7 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services are pending. Henry Schrum was born Nov. 1, 1896, in Clinton county, the son of Claus and Caroline Hoehne Schrum. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. A veteran of World War I he was a member of the American Legion Post 190 and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was a carpenter for the Clinton Corn Processing Co. Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Mary Mason, Route 2, Clinton, and Mrs. Homer Cleveland, DeWitt; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
