BURLINGTON — Margaret Bohon Pence, 92, of Burlington, died at 3:50 a.m. on Friday, July 31, 2009, at Great River Medical Center.She was born on June 8, 1917, in Burlington, the daughter of William G. Galley and Lillian E. Marsden. She married Everett Pence in June, 1942, in Kahoka, MO. They later divorced.She worked in retail sales at Montgomery Wards in Burlington. She was an avid reader. She especially enjoyed gardening in which she remained active. She loved her family and had a special place in her heart for her grandsons.She is survived by her two daughters, Cynthia (Glenn Vestal) Pence of Oquawka, IL, and Michele (Michael) Gentry of Camanche, IA; two grandsons, Michael (Erica Pitman) Gentry Jr. and Matthew Gentry; three nieces and one nephew; and one sister, Mary Sinders of Falls Church, VA.She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.Memorial services are pending. The body has been cremated. Prugh Funeral Service, Burlington, IA, is in charge of arrangements.Death date: July 31, 2009
