TUCSON, Ariz. — The Rev. Harry M. (Bud) Rohwer 86, passed away peacefully July 17, 2009 at TMC Hospice (Peppi's House), Tucson, AZ. He was born in Clinton, Iowa on June 10, 1923 and graduated from Clinton High School. He received a BA from Carthage College and a Masters in Divinity from Northwestern Theological Seminary. He was ordained into the Lutheran Ministry in 1957.Churches he served were: St. Paul's in Baton Rouge, LA; Holy Trinity in Chandler, AZ; Our Saviour's, Tucson; and 22 years at Streams in the Desert in Tucson. He also served the Lutheran Campus Ministry at the University of Arizona.Pastor Rohwer was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Gensina Rohwer, daughter-in-law Margie Rohwer, and great-granddaughter Katrina Rohwer. He is survived by his wife Jane to whom he was married for 56 years, his sons, Michael of Tucson, David of Santa Fe, New Mexico and daughter, Julie Hoffman of Tucson, nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by in-laws, many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.Visitation will be Friday, July 24, 2009 from 5 to 8 p.m., at Bring's Broadway Chapel, 6910 E. Broadway, and Saturday July 25, 2009 from 9 a.m. until services at 10:30 a.m. at Streams in the Desert Lutheran Church, 5360 E. Pima. Burial will be at East Lawn Cemetery followed by a luncheon at the church.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given to Streams in the Desert Lutheran Church. Through his great love of his Lord, and his love of people, he touched many lives in his years of ministry. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.Death date: July 17, 2009
