The Clinton Herald Thursday May 26, 1988 p. 14 The funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Friday in Clinton Chapel, Snell-Zornig Funeral Home for Chris J. Bahnsen, 65, of 413 1/2 21st Place Court, who died Tuesday in Jane Lamb Health Center. The Rev. William King, chaplain of Sarah Harding Home, will officiate. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. Burial will be in Clinton Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ruphert Wucherpfenning, Carlton Mead, Robert Rosenbohm, Werner Wilke, Harry Barnes, John Foley, Tom Klinkner, Victor Finnicumand Gregg Dengler. Mr. Bahnsen was born July 29, 1922, in Clinton, to Chris and Edna Mae Green Bahnsen. He married Frances Shaw, in 1946. He later married Shirley Roses, June 29, 1969, in San Diego, Calif. He was a 1940 graduate of Clinton High School and was employed with the Chicago North Western Railroad, where he was an office clerk in the West Yard. He later became cost accountant clerk, retiring in 1985. During his 42 years with the railroad, Mr. Bahnsen had perfect attendance record on the job. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Clerks and Quad City Computer Club. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Steven J. of Scotch Grove, Iowa, and David J. of Burlington; a daughter, Mrs. Mark (Christine) Whipple, of Suffolk, Va.; five grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Marie O'Neil of Camanche, Mrs. Werner (Alberta) Wilke of Clinton, and Eleanor Bahnsen of DeQueen, Ark. He was preceded in death by a brother.
