CLINTON — Carl La Vern Wiepert, 84, of Clinton, died Monday, June 22, 2009, at Mercy Medical Center North. Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2009, at the Clinton Lawn Cemetery, 2610 Manufacturing Dr. Pastor Elizabeth Liggett with St. Paul's Lutheran Church will be officiating. A memorial fund has been established. Lemke Funeral Homes have assisted the family with arrangements.Carl was born July 24, 1924, in Persia, Iowa, to Edward and Margaret (Thomsen) Wiepert. Carl was a veteran of the United States Army. He was stationed in the South Pacific from May of 1943 until December of 1945. Carl was engaged in farming and was a mechanic.
