CLINTON — Lance R. Bice, age 48, of Clinton, died Friday, June 26, 2009, at his home. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, June 29th, at the Pape Funeral Home. A celebration of Lance's life will follow at 6:00 p.m. Inurnment will be in St. Irenaeus Calvary Cemetery. Lance was born in Clinton, Iowa, on November 25, 1960, the son of Merle "Pat" and Helen Mussman Bice. He attended Clinton High School. Lance married Sandra Elliott on February 13, 1982, in Clinton. Lance was employed as a machinist with Collis Tool until 2000. In 1999, he started P. and B. Enterprises, which he ran until 2007. Lance was a member of Prince of Peace Parish. He enjoyed being with his family and friends, having a good time, fishing, hunting and canoeing. Lance is survived by his wife, Sandy; three daughters, Kristen Bice, Maggie Bice and Ashley Bice all of Clinton; two grandsons, Christopher and Gabriel; his parents, Pat and Helen Bice of Clinton; six brothers, Steve (Mary Beth) Bice of Bettendorf, Kurt (Carol) Bice of LeClaire, IA, Pat (Cindy) Bice of Vesper, WI, Rod (Deb) Bice of Ohio, IL, Tim (Annette) Bice of Clinton and Andy (Glenda) Bice of Ames, IA; four sisters, Cindy (Dwayne) Otten of Clinton, Sylvia ("Uncle" Larry) Robinson of Williamsburg, IA, Laura Bice of Clinton and Lynn (Kevin) Cain of Goose Lake; and nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
