CLINTON — Debra C. Smith, 52, of rural Clinton, died Thursday, June 11, 2009, at home.A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 20, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at the Assembly of God Church in Fulton, Illinois with a photo tribute. A lunch will follow the services. Cremation rites have been accorded.Debra Cleo Quint was born on May 15, 1957 in East Moline, Illinois, the daughter of Ivan (Jerry) and Hazel (Moore) Quint. She was joined in matrimony to Bruce Robert Smith on August 17, 1993, in Las Vegas, Nevada.Debra was an extremely loving person who helped and gave to everyone she knew. She loved to camp and fish but her biggest love was her husband Bruce of 16 years and her Granddaughter Destiny whom she and Bruce had just adopted. Debra had many years as a nursing assistant and very much enjoyed working with and helping the many adult and child patients that she came in contact with, always taking a personal interest in them. She devoted her life to helping and never complained. She had a heart as pure as gold!Her father preceded Debra in death. She is survived by her loving husband, Bruce; children Destiny Smith of Clinton, Brandy Bark of Dodgeville, WI, Matthew Bark of Clinton; stepchildren Adam Smith of Dubuque, Eric Smith of St. Paul, MN and Nicole Smith of Dubuque, IA, her mother Hazel Quint of Albany,IL, Ivan Quint of Clinton, Philip Quint of Albany, IL, and Elsie Reiling of Port Byron, IL.A memorial fund will be established in Debra's name. Donations will be accepted at the memorial service or may be directed to Bruce R. Smith at 2030 400th Ave, Clinton, IA, 52732.Death date: June 11, 2009
