CLINTON — Fred L. Reedy, age 62, of Clinton, died Saturday, June 13, 2009, at the University of Iowa Hospitals, Iowa City, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 18th, at the Pape Funeral Home in Clinton. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Following the services, cremation rites will be accorded. Fred was born in Fulton, IL, on August 9, 1946, the son of George and Fern Porman Reedy. He married Cathy Delebaugh on March 22, 1968, in Clinton. Fred had worked at Mercy Hospital for several years, at Union Carbide for 19 years and at P.F.C. for 11 years retiring for health reasons in 2007. Fred enjoyed spending time with his family, boating, fishing, picnics, collecting frogs and being outdoors talking with people. Fred is survived by his wife, Cathy; three children, Caty Reedy, Allen Reedy and Kenneth Reedy all of Clinton; two grandchildren, Timothy and Natasha; two sisters, Georgetta (Robert) VanVleet of Olathe, KS, and Kelly (Rick) Miller of Clinton; six brothers, George (Linda) Reedy of Abilene, KS, Joseph (Sharon) Reedy, Ben Reedy, Charles (Barb) Reedy and Rick Reedy all of Clinton, and Chris (Pam) Reedy of Andover, IA; and many nieces and nephews.
