FULTON, Ill. — Susan M. Bielema, 58, of Fulton, IL, died Sunday, May 24, 2009, in Fulton.Susan was born July 18, 1950, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Robert and Ina Mae (Quint) Kilgore. She married Gordon Bielema, November 23, 1968, in Albany, IL. He survives. She was employed by the Jumers Rock Island Casino as a dealer for 14 years, retiring in June 2007.Susan was a member of the Albany United Methodist Church and the Albany American Legion Auxiliary #1079. She enjoyed crocheting and doing other crafts.Survivors include her husband, Gordon Bielema, of Fulton, IL; 2 daughters, Kim (Mike) Hill of Camanche, IA, and Tammy (Craig) Temple of Lancaster, WI; a son, Paul (Ellen) Bielema of Christianburg, VA; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers, Ralph (Carol) Kilgore of Camanche, IA, Terry (Debbie) Kilgore of Martinsville, IN, Leslie Kilgore of Clinton, IA, and Danny Kilgore of Clinton, IA.Susan is preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Therese Hougen.A gathering is scheduled from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 28th, in the Albany United Methodist Church, Albany, IL. A memorial service to be held at 11:00 a.m. in the church with the Reverend Dave Davies officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Quad Cities Gilda's House or the Genesis Hospice.McDonald Funeral Home, Fulton Chapel, are in charge of arrangements.
