DAVENPORT — Lucille B. Berger, 100, of Davenport, Iowa, died Thursday, May 21, 2009, at Crest Health Care Center, Davenport. Services in celebration of Lucille's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 23rd, at Konig Chapel, Ridgecrest Village on NW Blvd., Davenport, where her family will greet friends from 9 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Clinton Memorial Park Cemetery, Clinton, Iowa. Memorials may be made to Ridgecrest Village or to the charity of your choice.Mrs. Berger was born in 1909 in Lyons, Iowa, the only child of Floyd and Ida Clark. She married James E. Foster in 1942. He died at the age of 43 in 1950. She married Paul J. Berger on October 5, 1956, in Davenport. He died July 17, 1984. She had been employed in Washington, D.C., for the Department of Labor as a secretary and later, upon returning to the Quad City area, she worked for the Army Corps of Engineers at the Clock Tower as a secretary.Her memberships included St. John's United Methodist Church, Davenport, Chapter IR PEO Sisterhood, Quad City Times Plus 60 Club, Clionion Study Club, the Putnum Museum and the Museum Guild.
