CAMANCHE — Wesley B. Long, 47, of Camanche, Iowa, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2009, at Mercy Medical Center, North Campus, Clinton, Iowa. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 13, 2009, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Lemke Funeral Homes, South Chapel. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 14, 2009, at 11 a.m. with Pastor David Kerlin officiating at Lemke Funeral Homes, South Chapel. Burial will follow in Allen's Grove Cemetery in Donahue, Iowa. Wesley Brian Long was born September 22, 1961, in Donahue, IA, the son of Wesley and Dorothy (Mullanix) Long. He was a graduate of North Scott High School. He married Vicki Ekleberry on February 17, 2004. Wesley worked for Ralston Purina and owned and operated D and L Towing/Trucking Service. He was a member of the Harley Davidson Owners Group and Intercontinal Church of God. Wesley loved his Harley, racing cars, farming, hunting and most of all, loved his family. Surviving him are his wife, Vicki, of Camanche, IA; mother, Dorothy Long of Dixon, IA; one daughter, Brianna Long of Seymour, MO; one son, Michael Rettkowski of Camanche, IA; a grandson, Kaleb Rettkowski of Camanche, IA; a granddaughter, Skylarr Rettkowski of Davenport, IA; and two sisters, Murlene (Jerry) Ineichen of Davenport, IA, and Linda (Dennis) Oberlander of Princeton, IA. Preceding him in death are his father and brother, Larry. Memorials can be made to the family. Death date: May 9, 2009
