LENA, Ill. — Corretta O. Endress, age 90, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2009, at the Lena Living Center in Lena. She was born on May 17, 1918, in Wards Grove Township to Amos and Cleo (Blair) Thomasson. She married Simon Endress on October 24, 1935 in Pearl City, Ill. Simon passed away August 26, 2003. Corretta was a member of the St John's Lutheran Church of Pearl City. She is survived by two sons, Bob (Karen) Endress of Morrison, Ill., Michael (Susan) Endress of Milwaukee, Wis.; daughter-in-law Darlene Mae Endress of Pearl City; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Leslie Thomasson of Freeport, Ill., and Eric (Vera) Thomasson of Stockton, Ill.; a sister; Pauline Veach of Freeport, Ill.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Simon; a son, Ronald; and four sisters, Jeanette, Josephina, Myrna and Mary. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at 11 a.m. at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Pearl City, Ill. A visitation will be held Tuesday, May 19, 2009, from 10 a.m. until time of service at the St. John's Lutheran Church. Pastor Pat Esker will officiate the service. Burial is at the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Freeport, Ill. A memorial has been established in her name. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.leamonfh.com. Death date: May 14, 2009
