The Clinton Herald Thursday May 6, 1891 p. 3 Frank Lohberg, Sr., on of Lyons' oldest and most highly respected German citizens, died last night at 4:45 of epileptic spasms. Mr. Lohberg had been subject to these attacks for some time, and steadily grew worse until his death. The deceased was born in Westfahlen Germany, in 1829, coming to this country in 1854, and to Lyons in 1856, where he has since lived. He had engaged in numerous businesses about the city, had been successful, and had amassed a considerable fortune at the time of his death. He was alderman at one time from his ward, but never sought for any political distinction. Always honest and upright, he had an irreproachable career and leaves a friend in every acquaintance. A wife and son are left to mourn the loss of the departed. The funeral will take place Sunday
