FULTON, Ill. — Margaret Lucille Van Dyke, 85, Fulton, IL, died Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at her residence.Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 27, 2009 at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Pastor Wayne Wiersema, Pastor of the Gateway Faith Fellowship, Fulton, IL will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. Sunday, April 26, 2009 at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Internment will be at Fulton Twp. Cemetery, Fulton, IL. Memorials have been established.Van Dyke was born April 15, 1924 in Bluefield, WV to Jesse James and Annie Cleo (Lawson) Lewis. She was educated in the Princeton, WV schools, graduating from high school in 1942. She first married Carlile Hager on April 4, 1944 in Tennessee. She later married Gilbert Van Dyke on Oct. 30, 1968 in Clarksville, TN; he survives. Margaret lived in West Virginia until coming to Clinton, IA in 1964; she then moved to Fulton, IL in 1968. She was a homemaker and also had worked at Swift and Company in Clinton, IA, then worked at Drives, Inc. in Fulton and then General Electric in Morrison, IL. She enjoyed camping, fishing, cooking and baking, crocheting and sewing. She also enjoyed coffee with her friends. She loved traveling with her husband Gilbert and she admired Elvis Presley. Survivors include her husband Gilbert; one daughter, Betty Remrey - Fulton, IL; four sons Eddie (Barb) Hager - Fulton, IL, Michael Hager - Galesburg, IL, Douglas Hager - Melrose, FL and Ray Hager - Fulton, IL; one step son, Allen Van Dyke - Washington, D.C.; seventeen grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Eva Payne - Mocksville, NC; one sister-in-law Ruby Lewis- Princeton, WV; and one brother Raymond (Lorraine) Lewis - Harlingen, TX.She was preceded in death by one son, Roy Hager, six sisters, Rena Yvonne Calvert, Mary Lockhart, Ruth Bird, Bernice Hensley, Sylvia Lockhart and Frances Bailey, one brother, Bernard Lewis, and two step daughters, Sue Damhoff and Peggy Van Dyke.To send online condolences go to www.bosmarenkes.com.Death date: April 22, 2009
