FULTON, Ill. — Audrey R. Sikkema, 75, of Fulton, IL, died Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center North, Clinton, IA. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2009 at the Fulton Chapel Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Stephan, Pastor: Second Reformed Church, Fulton, IL, officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 10, 2009 at the Fulton Chapel Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Interment is at the Fulton Township Cemetery, Fulton, IL. Memorials are established at the Second Reformed Church, Fulton, IL and Fulton Fire and Ambulance departments.Audrey was born September 22, 1933 in Ustick Township, IL to Henry and Effie (Brondyke) Dornbush. She was educated in the rural Whiteside County grade schools and was a graduate of Erie High School, Erie, IL.She married Vernon E. Sikkema on August 14, 1952 in Fulton, IL. Audrey was employed by the former Fidelity Life Insurance Company, Fulton, IL. She was a member of the Second Reformed Church, Fulton, IL, the church's Willing Worker Society and was a nursery volunteer for the church's Coffee Break program. She also served as a volunteer for the Fulton Community Fund Drive and Cub Scout Den Mother. She enjoyed cooking and collecting cook books. Survivors include three daughters Karen (Dean) Eganhouse, Fulton, IL, Pam (Mike) Michaelsen, Low Moor, IA and Marcia Kutzli, Fulton, IL; two sons, Dale (Jolene) Sikkema, Fulton, IL and Ray Jeff Sikkema, Fulton, IL; seven grandchildren, Trisha and Heather Eganhouse, Michael C. and Matthew Michaelsen, Stephanie (Ryan) Voss, Jennifer Sikkema and fiancée Nathan Bormann, Eric Sikkema and fiancée Tori Van Zuiden; two great-grandchildren, Adrianna VanPelt and Jacob Voss; three sisters, Mrs. Helen Port, Lyndon, IL, Mrs. Phyllis Geerts, Albany, IL and Sharon (David) Ottens, Morrison, IL; four brothers, Eugene (Betty) Dornbush, Albany, IL, Harlan Dornbush, Erie, IL, Les (Julie) Dornbush, Fulton, IL and Allen Dornbush, Albany, IL.She was predeceased by twin granddaughters and two sisters, Kathryn Dornbush and Shirley Dornbush in infancy.To send online condolences go to www.bosmarenkes.com.Death date: April 8, 2009
