CLINTON — Anna E. Snodgrass, age 82, of Clinton, died Thursday, March 26, 2009, at Mercy Living Center South in Clinton. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 4th, at the Pape Funeral Home in Clinton. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 3rd, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Barrat Snodgrass, Rick Bunce, Tyler Snodgrass, Scott Matthew, Kurtis Colson and David Greene. Honorary casket bearers will be Shannon Mussmann, Alisha Greene and Amandalynn Siglar. Anna was born in Clinton on February 15, 1927, the daughter of Isaac and Minnie Hass Stearns. She married John E. Snodgrass on November 18, 1948, in Kahoka, Missouri. John died on July 25, 1995. During her life, Anna had been employed at Schnieder Produce, Swift and Company, Burpee Seed, Collis Company, Clinton Garment Factory and the Speaker Company in Sabula, Iowa. She enjoyed fishing, playing bingo, gardening, flowers, playing the piano and sewing. Anna is survived by a daughter, Peggy Jones of Clinton; three sons, Richard (Karone) Hansen, Gary (Beverly) Snodgrass and Steve (Sandra) Snodgrass all of Clinton; a stepdaughter, Patricia Snodgrass of Clinton; 20 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
