MOLINE, Ill. — Alberta G. Sharnik, 77, of Moline, died Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at her residence.A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 17 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline. Visitation will be 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline, where a Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Burial will be at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island, Rock Island, IL. Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Church.The former Alberta G. Wisor was born April 28, 1931 in Clinton County, IA, the daughter of Roman and Clara (Manikowski) Wisor. She was united in marriage to Steve P. Sharnik on November 28, 1958 in Davenport, IA. Alberta was a member of Sacred Heart Church and enjoyed gardening. She was a graduate of the former St. Anthony's School of Nursing, Rock Island, and in earlier years she was employed as a Registered Nurse.Survivors include her husband, Steve; son, Steve S. Sharnik, Tampa, FL; sisters, Clara Nugent, San Marcos, CA, Teresa Cotter, Scottsdale, AZ and Sister Marjorie Wisor, OSF; brothers, Robert (Le Von) Wisor, Iowa City and Joseph (Bernadette) Wisor, Camanche, IA and sister-in-law, Mary Kane Wisor, Camanche.
