Harold Bengtson 06/22/2002 CAMANCHE, Iowa -- Services for Harold L. Bengtson, Camanche, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Camanche Chapel of Snell-Zornig-Dennis A. Lemke Funeral Homes and Crematory. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Camanche. Camanche Veterans of Foreign Wars will conduct military services at the burial. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Bengtson died Wednesday, June 19, 2002, at Eagle Point Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, Clinton He was president of Bengtson-Carlberg Construction Co. for 18 years. He was born Nov. 12, 1920, in Clinton County. He married Sue Westgate in 1945 in Camanche. During World War II, he served with the Army's Merrill's Maruders. Memorials may be made to ALS Chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Survivors include his wife, Sue; daughter, Rose Pickering, Camanche; sons, Harold E., Camanche, Tom L., Davenport, David G., Clinton, and Edward, Eugene, Ore.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Fedderson, Clinton; and brother, Leonard, Rockford, Ill.
