Marguerite DeBruin-Gill 02/27/2002 CLINTON, Iowa -- Marguerite DeBruin-Gill, of Clinton, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2002, at Bluff Terrace Nursing Home, Clinton. Services will be 6 p.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church, Clinton. Burial will be Friday at Sunset Memorial Park, St. Louis. Visitation will be 3 p.m. until service time Thursday at the church. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig-Dennis A. Lemke Funeral Homes and Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Zetta Marguerite Johnson was born June 17, 1909, in Spokane, Wash. She married Edward DeBruin, in 1933 in Denver. He died Nov. 23, 1969. She later married Howard Gill in 1973 in St. Louis. He died in 1979. She was a homemaker. In her earlier years, she was a telephone supervisor in Cheyenne, Wyo. Later in St. Louis, she worked at Scrugs-Vandervoort & Barney as a sales lady selling furs and gowns. Memorials to the First Presbyterian Church, Clinton. Survivors include a son, Jon DeBruin, Clinton; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
