Irene Davis 02/27/2002 CLINTON, Iowa -- Irene C. Davis, of Clinton, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2002, at Wyndcrest Nursing Home, Clinton. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Pape Funeral Home, Clinton. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home. She worked at the Iten Biscuit Co., Clinton Candy Co., Clinton Garment Factory, Clinton High School and Nielson Clearing House. Irene Mangelsen was born July 31, 1908, in Center Township, Clinton County. She married Samuel S. Davis in 1933 in Grant City, Mo. He died in 1974. Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church, Clinton. Survivors include sons, Larry G. and Alan R., both of Clinton; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sisters, Esther Cummings, Sterling, Ill., Bernadine Pestka, Maquoketa, and Evelyn Hellweg, Camanche.
