Richard Cosgrove 02/18/2002 CAMANCHE, Iowa -- Richard "Dick" Raymond Cosgrove, Camanche, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002, at his home. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Catholic Church of the Visitation, Camanche. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery, where the Clinton AMVETS will conduct full military honors. Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig-Dennis A. Lemke Funeral Home & Crematory, where a 3 p.m. vigil service will be conducted, followed by a Knights of Columbus Rosary. He was employed as an insurance claims adjuster for Iowa Mutual Insurance Co. for more than 40 years, retiring in 1990. He was born Aug. 26, 1926, in Clinton. He married Rosalie T. Jost in 1949 in Clinton. She died March 31, 2001. He was an Army Air Corps veteran serving in World War II from 1945-47 in the Asia-Pacific Theatre of War with the 54th Troop Carrier Squadron in Alaska and Aleution Islands. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Survivors include daughters, Kathy A. Klahn, Camanche, and Nancy Johannsen, Clinton; sons, Richard A. Cosgrove, Park Ridge, Ill., and Raymond E. Cosgrove, Bettendorf; nine grandchildren; and a sister, Jeanne Dewecd.ll, Clinton.
