Doris Shea 09/17/1999 MAQUOKETA, Iowa -- Services for Doris M. Powers Shea, of Maquoketa, formerly of Delmar, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Maquoketa. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Delmar. Visitation is 3-8 p.m. today at Haylock-O'Hara & Lahey Funeral Home, Maquoketa, with a rosary at 4 p.m. by Catholic Daughters of America and a vigil service at 7 p.m. Mrs. Shea died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 1999, at Crestridge Nursing Home, Maquoketa, after an extended illness. She had taught school in Delmar, Welton and Maquoketa. Doris Watters was born Sept. 3, 1916, in a farmhouse east of Delmar. She married Joseph Powers in 1940 in Delmar. He died in 1965. She married Clyde Shea in 1969 in Delmar. He died in 1997. Survivors include a daughter, Margo Shouse, Charlotte, N.C.; a son, Martin Powers, Pittsburgh; six grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.
