Fred Sloane 08/14/1999 CAMANCHE, Iowa -- Services for Fred C. Sloane, of 1410 4th St., will be noon Monday at Camanche Chapel of Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery, Clinton, with military services by Camanche Veterans of Foreign Wars. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Sloane died Thursday, Aug. 12, 1999, at Mercy Medical Center-North Campus, Clinton. He retired in 1991 as a supervisor after 39 years at DuPont. He was born May 1, 1934, in McGregor. He married Sharon Jeffrey in 1960 in Clinton. He served as first lieutenant and pilot in the Air Force from 1954 to 1958. Memorials may be made to Friends of the Upper Mississippi River Refuge or American Heart Association. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Julie Clausen, and a son, Jeffrey S., both of Clinton; two grandsons; and a brother, John, Hiawatha.
