Esther Ryder 08/13/1999 CLINTON, Iowa -- Services for Esther P. Ryder, formerly of 228 S. Bluff, Clinton, will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Clinton. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery, Clinton. Visitation is 3-5 p.m. Saturday at Clinton Chapel of Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Mrs. Ryder died Wednesday, Aug. 11, 1999, at University Hospitals, Iowa City. Esther Krebs was born March 23, 1915, in Clinton. She married Chester Ryder in 1936 in Clinton. She was employed many years as a bookkeeper and was part owner, with her husband, of Elmwood Dairy, Clinton. He died Feb. 12, 1999. Memorials may be made to the church or a favorite charity. Survivors include a daughter, Judy Smull, Knoxville, Tenn.; a son, Fred B., Lenexa, Kan.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
