CLINTON — Juanita Lohberg, age 88, of Clinton, died Friday, December 12, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center North in Clinton. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, December 16th, at the Pape Funeral Home. The Rev. William Michaelson will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Gary Soenkson, Greg Soenksen, Gary Sievers, Troy Lohberg, Paul Matthew Jr., Mike Logan, Harold Ready, Chad Lohberg and Terry Turner. Honorary casket bearers will be her great-grandchildren; De Shia, Quan, Allee and Michael Jay Matthew, Dakota Sievers, Brittany and Chase Lohberg and Mason Lohberg. Juanita was born in Clinton, Iowa, on April 13, 1920, the daughter of Earl and Alma Brauer Inman. She graduated from Lyons High School in 1938. Juanita married Carl Lohberg on February 8, 1941, in Clinton. Carl died on July 17, 1979. Juanita and Carl owned and operated Lohberg Appliance for many years. She had also been employed with the A.C. Nielsen Company in Clinton. Juanita was a member of the Lutheran faith. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, playing cards and bowling. Junaita is survived by a son, Steve (Ramona) Lohberg of Clinton; six grandchildren, Deb (Paul) Matthew of Clinton, Laurie Sievers of Clinton, Troy (Nicole) Lohberg of Clinton, Chad (Stephanie) Lohberg of Thomson, IL, and Becky and Bobbi; eight great-children; two sisters, Voda (Charlie) Turner of Clinton and Lois MacDuff of La Mirada, CA; a son-in-law; Gary Sievers of Thomson and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Karen, in 1997; two sisters and a brother. A memorial has been established. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
