CLINTON — Marlene J. Luckritz, age 68, of Clinton, died Saturday, December 6, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center North in Clinton. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 10th, at St. John Lutheran Church in Clinton. The Rev. Wayne Brinkmann will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Pape Funeral Home and from 9:30 a.m. until the service time Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Bryan Starr, Kenneth Geffers, Dr. Sam Rickerl, Daniel, Colin and John W. Sullivan, George R. and Jeffrey Rickerl, Ryan Geffers and Jerry Judd. Marlene was born in Clinton, Iowa, on March 21, 1940, the daughter of Elmer H. and Marie C. Wilke Holm. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1958. Marlene married Henry Jr. Luckritz on February 26, 1972, at St. John Lutheran Church in Clinton. Marlene was a processor at A.C. Nielsen in Clinton for over 20 years and was later employed at the Sarah Harding Home. Marlene was a member of St. John Lutheran church where over the years she had been involved with the Ladies Aid Society and the Mary Martha Circle. She had been a member of the Lyons Club and the Eastern Star where she had served as Worthy Matron. Marlene enjoyed gardening, canning and bowling. Marlene is survived by her husband Henry; a sister, Margie M. Higgins of Bettendorf; a brother, Rodger (Dolores) Holm of Clinton; a sister-in-law, Leona Geffers of rural Grand Mound, IA; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and two great-great-nephews.
