The Clinton Herald Monday February 2, 1976 p. 10 Warren C. Johnson, 50, 461 Oakhurst Dr., who had practiced law in Clinton since 1949, died Sunday in Mercy Hospital. District Judge L.D. Carstensen will deliver the eulogy during memorial services at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in First Methodist Church. The Rev. George Sheils will officiate. Members of the Clinton County Bar Association will attend in a body. In respect of Mr. Johnson, District Court Judge L.D. Carstensen has canceled Wednesday sessions in magistrate and disctrict courts. Mr. Johnson's body has been donated to the anatomy department of University Hospitals, Iowa City. Snell-Zornig Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. There will be no visitation. Mr. Johnson was born May 1, 1925, in Clinton, son of Charles H. and Mabel Nelson Johnson. He received his bachelor of arts degree from the University of Iowa in 1945 and his law degree in 1949. He married Doris Colbornson Sept. 8, 1950, in Maringo. Mr. Johnson served as county attorney for Clinton County from 1952 to 1956 and as Clinton city attorney from 1969 to 1971. He was a past president of the Clinton County Bar Assn. Survivors include his widow; two sons, Eryc C. of Iowa City and Anders L., Clinton; one daughter, Jordis E., at home; two brothers, Carroll F. of Clinton and Roscow A., Boundbrook, N.J., and three sisters, Mrs. John (Dorothy) Mull, Braintree, Mass. Mrs. Vilhelm (Elenor) von Schwerin, Clinton, and Mrs. Raymond (Bernadine) Johnson, St. Petersburg, Fla. He was preceded in death by his parents.
