EAGAN, Minn. — Marshall D. “Dave” Simmons, age 61, of Eagan died at his home on September 23, 2008. He was born June 3, 1947, in San Francisco, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Katherine Simmons. He was married to Barbara Michaelsen of Clinton, Iowa, on September 1, 1979, at Zion Lutheran Church, Clinton. He is survived by his wife; children, Katherine (Nate) Rock and Joseph Simmons; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Doris and Cal Michaelsen of Clinton; his extended family and many dear friends. Dave had a life-long passion for Kenpo Karate, teaching and practicing for over 40 years.Funeral services were held Monday, September 29, at Easter Lutheran Church, Eagan. Joseph S. Klecatsky and Sons were in charge of arrangements.Memorial donations are being made to A Rotta Love Plus or Sanctuary Plus Rescue. Death date: Sept. 23, 2008
