CLINTON — Velma “Dolores” (Feltes) Waterman, 79, of Clinton, died Sunday in her home. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 27, 2008, from 4 to 7 P.M. at Lemke Funeral Homes, South Chapel, 2610 Manufacturing Drive. Funeral service will be Thursday, August 28, 2008, at 11:00 A.M. at Lemke Funeral Homes, South Chapel. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Mrs. Waterman was born October 5, 1928, in Bellevue, Iowa, to Joseph E. and Marie C. Stamp Feltes. She married Eugene F. Waterman May 12, 1949, in Clinton, Iowa. He preceded her in death on July 6, 1993. She was educated in Maquoketa High School, graduating in 1946. She had worked as a secretary for Clinton Corn Processing Company (Nabisco Brands), retiring in 1982, after 34 years of service. She was a member of Price Of Peace Parish, the Clinton Corn Twenty-Five Year Club, AMVETS Auxiliary and past member of Women Of The Moose. She also loved to do crossword puzzles. Survivors include two brothers, Gerald (Helen) Feltes of Maquoketa, Iowa, and John C. Feltes of Oxford Junction, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs.Dwayne (Joan) Ostert of Maquoketa, Iowa, and Mrs. Janet Schmidt of Camanche, Iowa; and a very special friend, Lewis “Louie” Brown of Clinton. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister-in-law, Rosemary Feltes; and brother in law, Arlyn Schmidt. Death date: Aug. 24, 2008
