THOMSON, Ill. — Ralph L. Remrey, 84, of Thomson, died Friday, August 22, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center North, Clinton. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.The Rev. Scott Bonestroo, pastor of Spring Valley Reformed Church, Fulton, Ill., will officiate.Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday August 24, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Inurnment will be in Fulton Township Cemetery, Fulton. He was born Aug. 15, 1924, in Davenport to Charles and Nellie (Worden) Remrey. He was educated in Fulton-area schools. He was employed with Agrico Chemical in Fulton and later employed with JT Cullen in Fulton. He enjoyed puzzles and walking. Survivors include sisters Helen (Mrs. Louis) Buikema, Fulton, and Mrs. Anna Mae Boyert, Camanche; two brothers, Raymond (Marilyn) Remrey, Thomson, and Daniel (Sally) Remrey, Lena, Ill. He was preceded in death by four sisters, Charlotte Barsema, Marcella Thompson, Elizabeth Rumfelt and Ruby Hamm, and three brothers, William, Donald and Harry Remrey.To send online condolences go to www.bosmarenkes.com.Death date: Aug. 22, 2008
