LeRoy Weise, 82, of Calamus, died Thursday in Genesis West, Davenport.

The funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Wesley United Methodist Church in Calamus, with the Rev. Nathan Tabelisma officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today in Schulz Funeral Home, Grand Mound. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemtery.

Pallbearers will be Frank Schulz, Marty Clark, Frank Forret, Jan Christianson, Wayne Knable and Bill Emmert.

Mr. Wiese was born Sept. 22, 1912 in Moline to Henry J. and Sarah Elizabeth Baker Wiese. He married Eileen Chase, July 6, 1931 in Maquoketa. She died June 10, 1981.

He had worked for Dosland Lumber Yard in Calamus for 32 years and for the City of Calamus where he had been town marshal for seven years.

He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and had been a member of the Calamus Volunteer Firemen for many years. He enjoyed fishing, mowing lawns and helping people.

Survivors include a daughter Lorraine Wiese of Calamus; and a grandson.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, an infant son, a sister and four brothers.
