CENTRALIA, Mo. — Danny “Smitty” W. Schmitz Sr., 45, passed away in Centralia, MO, on Sunday, July 13, 2008. Visitation will be held Friday, July 18, 2008, from 11 - 1 at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel, 2610 Manufacturing Dr. Funeral services will be held following visitation at 1 pm with the Rev. Dan Brockett officiating. Private burial will take place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Danny was born February 3, 1963, in Clinton to Walter and Darlene (Hayton) Schmitz. He worked as a landscaper and liked to go fishing, hunting and camping.Danny is survived by his father, Walter; one daughter, Alecia Schmitz of MO; six sons, Kevin Schmitz, Danny “DJ” Schmitz, Jr., Cody Schmitz, Joshua Schmitz, Gage Schmitz and Caiden Schmitz all of MO; four sisters, Kathy (Dennis) Boekeloo of Clinton; Sherry (Rick) Jacobsen of Clinton; Bonny (Tim) Wiersema of Albany, IL, and Becky (Ron) Ashmore of Clinton; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. His son, Walter Schmitz Jr., mother, one brother and his grandparents preceded him in death. Memorials can be made to the family. Death date: July 13, 2008
