John Domer 10/22/1998 CLINTON, Iowa -- John W. Domer, of Wyndcrest Nursing Home, died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 1998, at the nursing home. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Pape Funeral Home, Clinton. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Domer was employed several years with Nash Finch Wholesalers and then owned and operated Domer's in Delmar. In 1958 he moved to Clinton and operated Domer's Grocery in the 2900 block of North 2nd Street. He was born April 19, 1911, in LeClaire. He married Rosamond Murray in 1933 in Des Moines. She died in 1971. He married Evelyn Bridges in 1989 in Nashua. Survivors include his wife; sons, James L., Lincoln, Neb., Jerry L., Chicago, and Jack L., Palm Springs, Calif.; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a stepson, Donald Bridges, Davenport; eight step-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Bessie Smith, LeClaire.
