ELWOOD — Burt W. Dostal, 83, of Elwood, died Thursday at the Jackson County Regional Health Center in Maquoketa. A celebration of his life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church in Maquoketa. Cremation rites have taken place. Burial will be in Esgate Cemetery, rural Maquoketa, where full military rites will be accorded. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Carson and Sons Funeral and Cremation Services in Maquoketa. Death date: July 3, 2008
