WESTMINSTER, Colo. — Victor Wiedenhoff, age 85, of Westminster, Colorado, died at his home on June 26th. He married Gunda Martin in Germany on January 15, 1949, living in Wheatland, Iowa for many years. Vic was a past 2nd District Commander in the American Legion and had been a member of Wheatland’s champion Wapsi Ringer Horseshoe Team. He also loved bowling, baseball, fishing and card playing. He volunteered as a boy scout leader, baseball coach and fireman. His surviving family includes his wife, Gunda; his children, Dean (Ellie), of Clinton, Iowa, Karl (Diane), of Denver, Colorado, and Linda (Jim), of Arvada, Colorado as well as five granddaughters and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his siblings, Charles Wiedenhoff, Lena Timm, Bertha Timm, Elizabeth Busch and Martha Gronwaldt.Following cremation, a memorial and gravesite service will be held in August in Wheatland, Iowa. The family is suggesting that any memorials be made in Vic’s name to Post 447 of the Wheatland American Legion.Death date: June 26, 2008
