CAMANCHE — Elmo H. Shuey, 87, of Camanche, IA, died Saturday, June 28, 2008, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, IA. Services will be held at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory on Wednesday, July 2, 2008, at 10:30 AM. Visitation will be at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig on Tuesday, July 1, 2008, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, in Camanche, IA. Pallbearers will be Jim Neumann, Don Sager, Aaron Costello, David Endersbe, Brandon Smith and Ron Rueter. He was born on October 9, 1920, in Boone, IA, the son of Walter and Dorothy (Collins) Shuey. Elmo was a WWII United States Army veteran. He was a member of the Camanche American Legion. He was employed with the Chicago Northwestern Railroad for many years. Elmo married Wanda Shirlene Worley August 8, 1978, near Roswell, NM; she died April 2, 2004. Survivors include his daughters, Donna Endersbe of Clinton; Denise Sager of Clinton; Diane (Jim) Neumann of Camanche; grandchildren, David Endersbe, Aaron Costello, Sarah Neumann, Samantha Neumann and Alysia Sager; great-granddaughters, Ariah Endersbe and Rylan Newcomb; brothers, Kenneth Shuey, and Robert Shuey, both of Boone, IA; and sisters, Beverly Klamm of Boone, IA, and Lois Aides of Ankeny, IA.
