MORRISON, Ill. — Mary Grady Olson Van Zuiden, 99, of Resthave Nursing Home, Morrison, and formerly of Fulton, Ill., died Friday, June 13, 2008, at Resthave Nursing Home, Morrison, IL. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. The Rev. Bill Michaelsen, associate in ministries of Elvira Zion Lutheran Church, will be officiating. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2008, until the time of the service at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Interment will be in Fulton Township Cemetery, Fulton, IL. Memorials will be established. She was born March 07, 1909, in Fulton, IL, to John and Kate (Heun) Grady. She was educated in Fulton grade schools. She married Earl W. Olson on May 28, 1932, in Morrison, IL. He died August 08, 1944. She then married Dwight D. Van Zuiden on June 09, 1951, in Morrison, IL. He died August 17, 1992. Mary was employed at the Scholl’s Candy factory and the Iten Biscuit Company, both in Clinton, IA. She was also employed at Vanderbleek’s Greenhouse and the Patent Novelty Company, both of Fulton, IL. Mary loved to sew and bake for her family and friends. She especially enjoyed giving to others. She loved her family dearly. Mary also collected hats and dolls. Survivors include one son, Ronald (Janice) Olson of Clinton, IA; one stepson, Ronald Van Zuiden of San Jose, CA; three grandchildren, Cheryl McRoberts of Clinton, IA, Eric (Nancy) Olson of Phoenix, AZ, and Lance (Jeri) Olson of Las Vegas, NV; three stepgrandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, Jaron and McKenna McRoberts, Kaitlin and Everett Olson, and Andrew, Silva, Alex and Aaron Olson; one brother-in-law, Elmer Bielema of Fulton, IL; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both husbands, Earl and Dwight; three sisters, Anna Workman, Jeanette Englekens and Ruth Olson in infancy; and two brothers, Clarence “Hap” Grady and Albert Grady.To send online condolences, go to www.bosmarenkes.com.Death date: June 13, 2008
