LONG, Harley
Harley F. LONG, 76 of rural Goose Lake, died Wednesday at Genesis Medical Center East, Davenport.
Service will be at 10 a.m., Monday, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Charlotte with the Rev. Dennis ARNDT presiding. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m., Sunday, at Nelson Funeral Home, DeWitt. Burial will be in Center Grove Cemetery, rural Bryant.
Pallbearers will be Norbert KROGMAN, Harry WIESE, Bill SCHRADER, Donald HUGHES, Alvin JACOBSEN and John CONNOLE.
Long was born March 13, 1922, in Phillipsburg, Mp., to Harvey and Anna Mae CHASTIN LONG.
He married Alta ROENFELDT on March 10, 1946 in Charlotte.
He farmed in the Charlotte area for 52 years and was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Charlotte.
He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Sara (Richard) BREDEKAMP of Spragueville; one sister, Sarah NIVENS of Lexington, Md.; two brothers, William LONG of Phillipsburg, Mo., and Carlton LONG of Des Moines; two grandsons; and one great-granddaughter.
