1926 - 2003

Frances A. Bahnsen, 76, Fulton, formerly of Clinton, Iowa, died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2003, at her home.
Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Saturday at Pape Funeral Home, Clinton. According to her wishes, the body will be cremated. Inurnment will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
Frances Shaw was born Sept. 24, 1926, in Polo. She married Chris Bahnsen in 1947 in Clinton. He died in 1988.
Mrs. Bahnsen was employed 19 years as a seamstress at Clinton Garment Co. She retired in 1981. During World War II, she worked at Rock Island Arsenal.
Memorials may be made to Mercy Hospice of Clinton.
Survivors include a daughter, Christine Whipple, Clinton; sons, Steven, Chicago, and David, Coralville; five grandchildren; three sisters; and four brothers.
