Vera Bloom 08/11/1998 DeWITT, Iowa -- Vera M. Bloom, of DeWitt, died Monday, Aug. 10, 1998, at Genesis Medical Center-West Campus, Davenport. Services will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday at First Congregational United Church of Christ, DeWitt. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt. She was employed until 1974 in the underwriting department at Iowa Mutual Insurance Co., DeWitt. She was secretary/treasurer from 1967 to 1998 for Elmwood Cemetery Association. Vera Levsen was born Dec. 18, 1910, near DeWitt. Survivors include a daughter, Paulline Smith, DeWitt; a son, Laurence R., Lady Lake, Fla.; four grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Edna Steiner, Clinton.
