William “Pappy” E. JOHNSON Jr., 62 of Clinton, died Sunday at Samaritan Hospital North.
The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Nelson Funeral Home, Clinton. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mark HOWARD, Rodney SCHULTZ, Glenn MELVIN, Mike MCDANEL, Jack LEIBERT, Paul DYKSTRA, Melvin VEST and Aaron JOHNSON.
He was born Dec 6, 1935, in Clinton to William E. and Marie E. MILLER JOHNSON. He married Vicki WASSON, May 1 1981, in Clinton. He attended the Camanche schools. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and the Army National Guard. He had been employed with Dairy-Pak for 44 years as a general superintendent. He was a member of the A.M.V.E.T.S. and the 700 Club.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, William JOHNSON of Clinton, and Terry JOHNSON of Machesney Park, Ill.; two daughters, Mrs. Lorri (Jeff) MCINTYRE of Indiana, and Nicole JOHNSON at home; five grandchildren; his mother of Clinton; a brother, Marvin JOHNSON of Riverside, Calif.; and a sister, Diana MAGNON of Sunnyvale. Calif.
He was preceded in death by his father and a son.
