JONES, Elmer
Panama City, Fla.-Word has been received of the death of Elmer “Buck” JONES, 93, of Panama City.
He died Aug. 6, in Panama City.
There was no funeral service. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery at a later date. The body has been cremated. Kent Forrest Lawn Cemetery , Panama City , was in charge of arrangements.
He was born Aug. 28. 1904, in Rood House, Ill., to George and Ida NASH JONES. He married Dorothy LUTZ, May 16, 1928, in Davenport. She died in 1995.
He was employed with Clinton Corn Processing, as a foreman in the refinery department, retiring in 1970.
After retirement, he and his wife, moved to Fort Meyers, Fla. He was a former Eagle member and a member of the Shriners in Clinton. He also played in the band for the Shriners.
Survivors include nieces and nephews, including , Janice MUSSMAN, Judy FULLICK and Jim MURPHY Jr., all of Clinton, and Jack MURPHY of Camanche.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Death date: Aug. 6, 1998.
