HARKSEN, Mrs. Harry
DeWITT - Mrs. Harry HARKSEN, 62, lifeling DeWitt resident, died about 11 a.m. today in DeWitt Community hospital after five week’s illness. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the McGinnis funeral home. Rev. Lester E. OLSON, Congregational minister, will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery.
The former Kathren Dora GREIBEL was born Dec. 24, 1891, in DeWitt to the late John and Anna CARSTENS GREIBEL. She was educated in DeWitt public school and was a member of First Congregational church. On June 21,1922, she married in DeWitt to Harry HARKSEN.
Surviving are the husband; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Lois) Buss, Davenport; three sons, LaVerne of Moline, Ill., Lawrence H. of DeWitt and Wayne at home.; five grandchildren; four brothers, William of San Gabriel, Calif.; Harry of Clinton, Frank of DeWitt, Fred of Sterling, Ill., and three sisters, Mrs. Hilda Woods of DeWitt. Mrs. Lillian Kraft of Clinton and Mrs. T. J. Smith of Cleveland, Ohio.
One brother preceded her in death.
