In Loving Memory 1923 - 2008 Paul L. Harding, 85, of Clinton, IA, died Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at Harbor Crest Nursing Home in Fulton, IL. Services will be held at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory on Saturday, May 17, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig on Friday May 16, 2008, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Springdale Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Noel Harding, Matt Harding, Ryan Duncan, Troy Harding, Nathan Duncan, George Sukkar, Rodney Haack and Andy Bosworth.Paul was born on April 2, 1923, in Baldwin, IA, the son of Edward and Etta (Downer) Harding. He was a Baldwin, Iowa High School graduate. Paul married Dolores Nabb on July 9, 1948, in Bellevue, Iowa. He was a WWII United States Navy veteran. Paul worked for 38 years at E.I. DuPont, retiring in 1985, he had also been employed with the Quad-City Times and Super Wash. He was a member First United Methodist Church, the AMVETS and the American Legion. Paul was a people person and loved his pet “Maggie.” He enjoyed watching auto racing and was an avid Hawkeye fan.Survivors include his wife, Dolores Harding, of Clinton, IA; sons, Robert (Jane) Harding of Clinton; Ronald (Laura) Harding of Clinton, and Jerry Harding of Oak Park, MI; daughters, Deb (Bob) Duncan of Camanche, and Sherri (Jon) Wilkinson of Clinton; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Tubbs, Florence Hollingshead and Phyllis Wood; “and special daughter, Patsy Bousman.”Paul was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 6 sisters.
