DEWITT — Leone E. (Mrs. George) Fatchett, 90, rural DeWitt, Iowa, died Monday morning, May 12, 2008, in her home. Mrs. Fatchett was born Leone Eleanor Dosland, August 25, 1917, in Northwood, Iowa, to Louis and Anna (Andersen) Dosland. Leone married George W. Fatchett, January 26, 1938, at the Elvira Zion Lutheran Church parsonage. The couple farmed in rural DeWitt, all of their married life where they raised their family. George preceded Leone in death November 27, 1991. She was a longtime member of Elvira Zion Lutheran Church and the Mary-Martha Circle. Leone was a wonderful cook and greatly enjoyed farm life. Surviving are her children and their spouses, Mary and Gary Daniels, Geneseo, Illinois, Marilyn and Kenneth Zeimet, Bryant, Iowa, Bob and Ruth Fatchett, DeWitt, and Evelyn and Raymond Stuedemann, Clinton, Iowa; grandchildren, Brian (Rebecca) Daniels, Sherilyn (fiancé, Tom Yearley) Daniels, Lareon Daniels, Dan (Melissa) Zeimet, Jason (JoEllen) Zeimet, Melissa Amacher, Rachel (Justin) Grager, Rhonda (Kyle) Jensen, Ryan Fatchett, Lisa (Kevin) Toppert, Lana (Brent) Griswold and Leslie (Juan) Raya; great-grandchildren, Megan Daniels, Tyler and Leah Zeimet, Kayla, Keaton and Kami Zeimet, Brent (Heather) Toppert, Matthew (Andrea) Toppert, Andy and Tristan Toppert, Kelsee and Karlee Griswold, Adia and Carson Raya; great-great-grandchildren, Bradley and Embree Toppert and Rylan Toppert; two sisters, Doris (Melvin) Wulf and Arlene Wulf; a sister-in-law, Madonna Wing; and brother-in-law, Harold Irwin, DeWitt. In addition to her husband, George, Leone was preceded in death by a great-great-grandson, Cayden Toppert, as well as siblings, Lois Duke, Orville Dosland, Arnold Dosland, Merlyn Dosland, Gladys Irwin and Norman Dosland. Friends may call at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2008. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 16, 2008 in Elvira Zion Lutheran Church with Bill Michaelsen, interim minister officiating. Burial will follow at Elvira Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Elvrira Zion Lutheran Church. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Condolences may be expressed at www.schultzfuneralhomes.com.Death date: May 12, 2008
