John W. Gill

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Carson Funeral Home for John W. Gill, 47, of Delmar who died Saturday, January 19, at the Jackson County Public Hospital of an apparent heart attack. The Reverend LeRoy Kelderman of the Delmar United Methodist Church will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Delmar.

John W. Gill was born April 30, 1926 in Waterloo to James and Alice Beener Gill. On August 2, 1952 he married Margaret Higgins in Waterloo. He was a manager at Clinton Engines in Maquoketa.

He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Kimberly and two sons, Michael and Byron, all at home, one brother, Robert Gill of Delmar: five sisters, Mrs. Marge Hammer, Tipton, Mrs. Delores Landis, Waterloo, Mrs. Marlene Baguss Dresden, Tennessee, Mrs. Betty Remetch and Mrs. Eleanor Williams, both of Sacramento, California.
