N. M. Pinter Dies; Last Rites On Saturday

Nicholas M. Pinter, 84, of 418 South Prospect street, Maquoketa, died Thursday afternoon at Jackson County Public Hospital. Funeral services will be held today, Saturday, at 2 p.m. at the First Lutheran church in Maquoketa. The Rev. Harold Kumpf, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the Pine Hill cemetery at Bliedorn. The Haylock-O’Hara funeral home is in charge of arrangements.

Nicholas M. Pinter was born Nov. 13, 1881, in Clinton county to M. J. and Catherine (Ales) Pinter. He was married Jan. 11, 1905, at Delmar to Mary Raven. Pinter was a retired farmer and a member of the First Lutheran church in Maquoketa.

Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Paul (Lela) Loofboro of West Bend, Wisc.; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Mohr of LeClaire, Ia., Mrs. Laura Mohr of Davenport, and Mrs. Minnie Van Meter of Washington, Ia.; two brothers, William of Welton, and Jim of DeWitt; three grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

His parents and one brother preceded him in death.
