CLINTON — Helen Dahl, age 91, of Clinton, died Saturday, May 10, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center North in Clinton. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, May 13th at Prince of Peace Parish, Sacred Heart Church. The Rev. Anthony Herold will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Pape Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Irenaeus Calvary Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Chris Dahl, Geoff Dahl, Rick Maas, Bob Hammond, James Determann, Charles Ladehoff, David Determann, Steve Ladehoff and Gary Schroeder. Helen was born in Clinton, Iowa, on July 17, 1916, the daughter of August and Christina Manning Determann. She married Jack Dahl on April 16, 1941, in St. Irenaeus Church in Clinton. Helen had worked at the Clinton Garment Factory. She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish, the Women of the Moose and the former Odeon Club. Helen had been very active in St. Ienaeus Church and school functions. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, sewing, playing cards and visiting with people. Helen is survived by her husband, Jack; four grandchildren, Chris, Geoff, Shari and Heather; ten great-grandchildren; a sister, Adeline Ladehoff of Clinton; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Gale and Greg; and six brothers and a sister. Memorials may be made to Prince of Peace Parish.
